Phillips Hue Updates

Signify – Phillips Lighting's new name – has announced three additions to the Phillips Hue range designed to 'change your cooking and dining experience'. The products include the Hue White A21 bulb, Hue Lightstrip Plus and an updated Hue Bloom table lamp. Launching in late July in the United States, no announcement has been made about the Australian release, however we will likely see them in the coming months.

Phillips Hue White A21 Bulb

The new, powerful Philips Hue White A21 bulb is the brightest bulb in the collection. With 1600 lumen output (equivalent to a traditional 100W bulb), it can fully illuminate a kitchen, garage or any other room. The smart light bulb also offers wireless dimming, so you can easily go from functional to mood lighting with the tap of an app.

Phillips Hue Lightstrip Plus

The Bluetooth-enabled Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus gives you colourful, smart light anywhere in your home. Place it along kitchen cabinets and staircases or highlight decorative pieces. You can customise the lightstrip by cutting it to the perfect size or connecting it up to eight Hue Bluetooth-enabled extensions. You can also now reuse trimmed pieces, so you can adapt the lightstrip to your room or décor.

Phillips Hue Bloom

The iconic Philips Hue Bloom table lamp has also gotten an upgrade with richer colours and a remarkable improvement for the white light which is boosted up to 500lm and delivers a consistent experience with the rest of the Hue range (colour temperature can be tuned from warm white [2000K] to cool daylight [6500k]. The updated product is Bluetooth enabled, making it a true plug-and-play product and thus a perfect starting point for consumers who want to try the Philips Hue smart lighting system. The compact and modern design makes the Hue Bloom a great addition to any room, enabling consumers to play with (indirect) light, paint their walls with millions of colours and create a perfect ambiance for any moment. The new Bloom can also be deep dimmed (minimum level below 1%), so it can be used as a perfect nightlight.
